74 Years as a Catalyst for Change

Welcome to the Kansas Commission on Disability Concerns (KCDC)! We provide policy guidance to the government of Kansas and disability-related information to the people of Kansas. Many of the key resources people access are listed on the right-hand side of our site, such as Disability Service Maps, Resources, ADA Information, Legislative Information and more.

In addition, we offer lots of information on topics to assist people with disabilities in living as equal citizens. These are listed under Life Resources under the banner above.

In order to make the website site easier to navigate, we have placed information below the introduction text in the form of expandable lists. Click on the topic and the information will drop down on that page. Click on the topic again and it will disappear leaving the rest of the topics.  You can expand them all by clicking on "Expand All."

If you don't find the information you need, please contact the office at 1-800-295-5232 or email Martha Gabehart.

New!

The Research and Training Center on Independent Living (RTCIL) developed a new accessible parking etiquette website to help people understand why an access aisle is important and why a van accessible parking space is different from a regular accessible parking space.  Please feel free to share this great information with others.
