Self-Advocate Coalition of Kansas
The Self-Advocate Coalition of Kansas (SACK) is a statewide self-advocacy group made up of adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. SACK is an organization that promotes self-advocacy in the community. SACK encourages and teaches people to speak up for themselves and obtain the highest possible level of independence. SACK has an annual conference that is a change to meet others, learn new leadership skills, and have a good time with fellow advocates. Kansas Long Term Care Ombudsman
Kansas Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program’s purpose is to ensure that residents of long-term care facilities receive quality care. The Ombudsman serves as a resident advocate who seeks to promote individual rights, dignity and independence. Ombudsmen are volunteers who provide support and assistance with problems or complaints involving residents of long-term care facilities.
